What we keep about you

Short version: we keep what we need to repair your instrument, bill you for it once, and find the job again later. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone except where this page says.

What we hold

• Your name, and the phone number or email you gave us, so we can tell you it is ready.
• Your instrument: make, model, serial number if it has one, and notes on its condition.
• The job: what you asked for, what we quoted, what we did, and what you paid.
• The service waiver you signed, stored exactly as it read on the day you signed it.
• Photographs of your instrument taken at drop-off. We carry no insurance on customer instruments, so these are how both of us can prove what condition it arrived in.

Payments

You pay at the counter when you collect. We record the amount and which method you used. We never hold your card number, and this app never takes a payment online.

Messages

We send one follow-up after a job, asking how the instrument is playing. If you tell us it went well we may ask for a review. One message per job, never a second chase, and nothing between 9pm and 8am. Say the word and we stop.

Photographs, beyond the repair

Condition photos are for the job. We do not post your instrument anywhere unless you have told us we can, which we record against your name and you can withdraw at any time.

Who else sees it

The people who work on your instrument. A contractor who does part of the job is covered by the same waiver you signed. Our app runs on hosting we rent, so that provider stores the data for us. Nobody else, and we do not sell anything to anybody.

How long

Job records and signed waivers are kept as business and legal records. Your instrument history is the useful part of coming back to us, so we keep it unless you ask us to remove it.

Asking

Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or to correct or delete it, and we will. Some things we have to keep, such as a signed waiver and what a job was billed at; when that applies we will tell you which and why. Ask at the counter, or use the number on our listing.
