Accessibility
We want anyone to be able to read our prices and check on their instrument, including with a screen reader, a keyboard alone, or the text turned up. We aim at the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at level AA.
What we have done
- Every page works with a keyboard, and what has focus is always visible.
- A skip link jumps past the navigation to the main content.
- Every form field has a label that belongs to it, and errors are read out.
- Every image carries a text description, and no meaning is carried by colour alone.
- Text is dark on a light ground at contrast above the AA threshold, and the page reflows to a phone without sideways scrolling.
- Pages are built from real headings, lists and tables, so a screen reader can move through them.
- Nothing moves, flashes or auto-plays, and the one animation respects a reduced-motion setting.
Where we know we fall short
The signature at drop-off is typed rather than drawn, which suits most people but not everyone. If signing is difficult, we will read the waiver aloud and take your signature however works for you, in person.
Some tables of numbers, such as the abrasive chart, are wide and scroll sideways on a phone. Ask and we will read you the line you need.
